Solar Panel Array to
Solar Charge Controller Wire

Advanced user solar panel array to solar charge controller cable

This is temco. It is high quality pv cable that is great for long wire runs (even hundreds of feet!) This wire requires cutting stripping and crimping the appropriate connectors. I have spent hundreds on this cable and it has every safety rating imaginable. Highly recommended!

Use this to connect critical loads to your fuse block. This is tough wire that can last for ages and handle oil/water/vibrations and more! Great stuff.

High-Quality Copper Wire for DC appliance hookup
(most wire on amazon is "copper clad aluminum", which is cheaper but lower in quality):

I love this stuff! Two wires in one, which means faster install time versus individual wires.

Crimp Connectors

Standard Size Crimp Connectors (22 gauge wire-10 gauge wire)
Use these to connect various parts of your system together. Be sure to buy high quality connectors or you will have problems. I have used cheap connectors in the past that have overheated and failed. These connectors are what I am currently using: Click here

Large Cable Lugs

Picture
Large copper Terminal Connectors. Avoid the cheap ones. You have been warned.

I have a few boxes of these on hand at all times. Thick walls ensure a true cold weld every time.

Small Cable Lugs

Smaller than the connectors above, but covered with tin. This will offer protection from corrosion, but cost slightly more. I think everyone should have both on hand when building a system.
